Kelly Zegler

Kelly and her husband are 30-year residents of Lake Zurich where they raised their daughter.

In 2023, after 32 years in corporate positions, she ventured out on her own as marketing and communications consultant within the financial services sector. This shift affords her additional flexibility to further pursue and develop personal interests. Her most recent full-time position was Director of B2B Marketing at Bank of Montreal (BMO) where she led a team of six responsible for development and execution of marketing strategy and programs for the Bank’s leading Commercial Bank division. Prior to her 16 years at BMO, she held marketing leadership roles at Discover Financial Services and Accuity, now LexisNexis Risk Solutions. She holds a BSBA with an emphasis in Finance from Roosevelt University.

Kelly has served as a Lake County election judge since 2020. For the last three tax seasons, she worked as a volunteer tax counselor with the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program which provides tax assistance, free of charge, with a focus on taxpayers over age 50 with low to moderate income. Prior to volunteering with the AARP Foundation, she held a similar role with Ladder Up supporting low-income households. She also volunteers with the Lake Zurich Styrofoam recycling program.

As a biking enthusiast, she can often be seen riding to, from, and through Long Grove, Barrington, and Cuba Marsh. Kelly appreciates the top-ranked Ela Area Public Library (5-Star Winner as ranked by Library Journal) as it supports her love of reading and passion for travel.
