Laurie M. Wilhoit

Laurie Wilhoit and her husband, Jeff, have been proud residents of Lake Zurich for over 28 years. She was elected Supervisor of Ela Township in April 2025, bringing with her a deep commitment to transparency, community connection, and professional leadership.

Laurie is the owner of a boutique marketing and communications firm and also works with Cambridge Partners & Associates, Inc., a business valuation firm based in Palatine. Her background includes over a decade of experience with the Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce, where she developed strong relationships with local businesses, municipal leaders, and nonprofits. She had served as an Ela Township Trustee from 2021-2025.

In 2014, Laurie was contracted by Ela Township to assist with social media, email, and website communications. That role allowed her to gain a detailed understanding of each department and how township services are delivered to the community.

She has served on the Lake County Board of Housing and Community Development and as President of Caring Women’s Connection, a local 501(c)(3) all-volunteer nonprofit supporting women and children in need across Lake County.

Laurie holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Northern Illinois University. She is passionate about serving her community, listening and learning each day, and using her experience and network to make meaningful progress for the residents of Ela Township.
