Kristen Linnenburger

Kristen has proudly called unincorporated Ela Township home since 2004, and lives there with her husband, Mark, and their two teenagers. In 2025, she was elected Clerk of Ela Township, bringing her deep commitment to public service to local government.

A full-time middle school teacher in Kildeer-Countryside School District 96, Kristen is passionate about education and community engagement. Since 2020, she has served as President of the Board of Trustees for the Long Grove Fire Protection District, where she works to ensure public safety and responsible governance.

Kristen holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Loyola University Chicago and a master’s degree from Northeastern Illinois University. Over the years, she has been an active volunteer in her children’s schools and sports programs, embodying her belief in giving back to the community.

Driven by a strong sense of civic duty, Kristen believes that government should be rooted in integrity, accountability, and accessibility for all.
